We're delighted to announce that a recording of our new production of Benjamin Britten’s Billy Budd will be broadcast on BBC Radio 3 on Saturday 26 November from 5.45pm.

Eagerly anticipated for its cast of leading Britten interpreters and exceptional creative team, Billy Budd will tour to the Theatre Royal, NewcastleThe Lowry, SalfordTheatre Royal, Nottingham and the Festival Theatre, Edinburgh following its Leeds run, and the radio broadcast will bring this outstanding production of Britten’s greatest operatic achievement to an even wider audience.

As part of Clemency Burton-Hill’s Modern Classical Music collection on BBC iPlayer, there are also opportunities to revisit a classic recital by Britten and his partner Peter Pears given for an audience of friends at the Riverside Studios, London, and a performance of his War Requiem at the Royal Albert Hall, both dating from 1964.
